WELCOME to Clear Lake Area Panhellenic Association and we hope you will visit our website often as we offer a variety of information and tools for local young women interested in pursuing Greek sorority membership.  As President for the 2009-2010 year I look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence our organization has achieved in prior years.

The primary focus of the Clear Lake Area Panhellenic Association is our annual scholarship benefit, which raises money for the Crawford-Zbanek Scholarship Foundation.  From the money raised each year, scholarships are awarded to deserving high school seniors and young women from our area, who are pursuing a college education in Texas.  We will be celebrating our 25th year to host this event, and even Hurricane Ike did not stop us this year!  Yes, we had to reschedule and change venues, but our profits totaled $29,073.00, our largest ever!  To date, the Crawford-Zbanek Scholarship Foundation of the Clear Lake Area Panhellenic has awarded over $300,000 in scholarships. We have already scheduled our next benefit for November 6, 2009 and yes, we are up to the challenge of raising even more money, even if it is in the same calendar year!  Hurricanes will not stop us…we do everything big in Texas!  We hope you will join us and look forward to breaking more records.

I am very proud to serve as President of this wonderful organization and it is a cause near and dear to my heart.  I have a daughter who will be a sophomore at college next year and is a member of a sorority. She is looking forward to becoming a “big sister”, and as an only child, sorority membership has offered her the sisterhood experience that she will carry with her for a lifetime.
